THE STARTER REPORTED A) CRYSTAL CITY and LEGAL AGENT were slow into stride. B) FIRE AND FURY was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) Shortly after the start, FIRE AND FURY (F Herholdt) and FIRST RAIN (G Cheyne) came together and bumped. B) After being slow away LEGAL AGENT (M V'Rensburg) failed to muster speed and trailed the field throughout. Thereafter, Jockey M V'Rensburg reported that LEGAL AGENT made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running and did not persevere with his ride from the 400m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. C) CRYSTAL CITY (T Gould) shifted out away from the crop from the 200m.
