THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) CROSS EXAMINER (S Khumalo), MONSIEUR CHEVELLE (M Khan) and SPIN DOCTOR (R Danielson) were slow losing one length.
b) MR LIVINGSTON (W Kennedy) and SAVAGE LOVE (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
c) WILLIAM ROBERTSON (R Munger) and SPIN DOCTOR (R Danielson) were restless in the stalls.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) WILLIAM ROBERTSON (R Munger) hung out from the 300m.
b) In the concluding stages, SAMUEL SALT (K Matsunyane) which was hanging in and SAVAGE LOVE (G Lerena) which rolled out, came together and bumped.
c) ASTROCYTE (L J Ferraris) hung in throughout.
d) DYCE (C Zackey) raced green.
e) WILLIAM ROBERTSON (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee F Naude advised (AH).
f) DYCE (C Zackey), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee E Nyambo advised (HK).
JOCKEY CHANGES:
a) SAVAGE LOVE was ridden by Jockey G Lerena (declared 7 June 2021 at 13H33).
RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER:
a) JIVKO DRAGONOV and SAMUEL SALT raced unshod (declared 7 June 2021 at 08H37).

c) ANGEL OF WAR is a gelding, incorrectly carded (Gelded 6 February 2021). Trainer P F Matchett was charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1 in that he failed to notify the local office of the National Horseracing Authority within 2 business DAYS (excluding Saturday, Sunday and public holidays) that ANGEL OF WAR had been gelded. Trainer Matchett signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R250.
