THE STARTER REPORTED: a) APOLLO ROBBINS (D De Gouveia) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start was effected, TREND MASTER ducked out sharply dislodging Jockey C Maujean. b) Directly after the running of this race, the Starter reported to the Stipendiary Board that shortly after he had released the gates, the ambulance which was at the start siren was activated. A Hearing was called and evidence was heard from the Starter, Jockey C Maujean and the ambulance staff, where it was established that the ambulance siren had been accidentally activated by the ambulance driver. The Starter also provided evidence that it was in his opinion that TREND MASTER had reacted to the siren and this had caused him to duck out sharply which had resulted in Jockey Maujean being dislodged. It was also noted by the Starter that this gelding had never behaved in a similar manner previously. Jockey Maujean concurred with the Starters sentiments. The Board after giving consideration to the above evidence and acting in terms of Rule 61.6.11, declared TREND MASTER to be a non-runner. This matter will be further investigated. c) NEBRAAS (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (RS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) APOLLO ROBBINS raced equipped with blinkers (declared 8 June 2021 at 08H13). THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. SCRATCHED: a) CATEGORY FOUR under veterinary treatment (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies). DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) TREND MASTER declared a non-runner in terms of Rule 61.6.11.
