THE STARTER REPORTED
A) BRINGBACKTHEMONEY was nervous in the stalls.
B) PURPLE FRONTIER and BIG SPLASH were slow into stride.
C) STONE OF DESTINY stood awkwardly in the stalls, was slow away and lost 5 lengths. The starting stall certificate for this gelding is withdrawn.
D) CONSTELLATION CODE lost his left fore shoe and had to be replaced by the Farrier, was stubborn loading, reared as the start was effected,
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED
A) BRINGBACKTHEMONEY (F Herholdt) hung out throughout and commenced to give ground to the field from the 1000m. Thereafter, Jockey F Herholdt did not persevere with his ride from the 400m. In view of this report, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
B) Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with REDOUTE'S SECRET in the running and did not persevere with his ride from the 200m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
C) PURPLE FRONTIER (C Habib) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages.
D) Jockey S Naidoo reported that STONE OF DESTINY did not stride out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
E) In view of the Starter's report with regard to STONE OF DESTINY (S Naidoo), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable to jump on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 12 June 2021 to 18 June 2021 both days included. STONE OF DESTINY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised.
F) The winner ROYAL SHINDIG was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer J P Nel advised (LM).
