THE STARTER REPORTED A) RUBY WOO was stubborn loading and kicked the back gate in the stalls. B) FORBIDDEN AFFAIR was slow into stride. C) SONNY QUINN was nervous in the stalls. D) GUAQUISTADOR was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls. E) KISSMEATTHEGATE was stubborn loading and slow into stride. F) OWNYOURFATE was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) FORBIDDEN AFFAIR (K Minnie) over-raced in the early stages. As a consequence of this, raced wide around the turn and into the straight. Thereafter, Jockey K Minnie reported that FORBIDDEN AFFAIR was cut into. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. B) KISSMEATTHEGATE (F Herholdt) failed to muster speed and gave ground to the field from the 700m. C) SONNY QUINN (L Mxothwa) shifted out away from the crop from the 300m and was immediately straightened.
