THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FOREST PHOENIX (E Ngwane) jumped awkwardly and lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Between the 800m and 600m, FOREST PHOENIX (E Ngwane) had to be restrained off heels on a number occasions. b) GREAT GUY (J Gates) was hanging in from the 400m. c) STANTON STREET (W Kennedy) was hanging in from the 300m. d) Apprentice T Gumede reported that RUNNING FREELY took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) WHAT A BLAST (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D S Bosch advised (SC).
