THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BRAVO BADGER (R Munger) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, EXECUTIVE DECISION (A Arries) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the inside of BOURBON BEAT (*T Gumede) which was carried in marginally by MISS EMBLEM (*K Brewer) which raced around the field and to the lead. Apprentice K Brewer (MISS EMBLEM) appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take more care when shifting ground in races in future. b) At the 450m, TINKER TAILOR (C Storey) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on KUNTA KINTE (S Moodley) which was directed to the outside of the course. c) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with CATCH THE TUNE in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer F Robinson will be advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this colt on return to the stables. d) Jockey R Munger reported post-race distress for BRAVO BADGER. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) DEEP GLOBAL (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Gareth van Zyl advised (ML).
