THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, MIKE THE PILOT (S Brown) kicked the back gate resulting in SONG OF LIBERTY (K Matsunyane) breaking through the front gate. b) GONE IN TIME (*G Pieterse) reared in the stalls. c) MIKE THE PILOT (S Brown) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey C Zackey was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride the horse WAVE WARRIOR out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Jockey C Zackey signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1,000-00 was imposed. b) ALESIAN CHIEF (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C J Lensley advised (LN). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) SONG OF LIBERTY raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind (declared 14 June 2021 at 08H53). b) WAVE WARRIOR is a gelding (Gelded 26 January 2021). Trainer P F Matchett signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.3 in that he failed to notify the Chief Stipendiary Steward of the Stipendiary Board within two (2) working days of WAVE WARRIOR entering his training establishment that it is a gelding. A penalty of R 500.00 was imposed. THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. SCRATCHED: a) GONE IN TIME injured in stalls (NHA / 12H31). Suitable for reinstatement. Betting 40/1.
