THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AYE AYE (C Bantam) dropped her head as the start was effected. b) CHILE JAM (G Cheyne) was restless in the stalls, jumped slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CHILE JAM (G Cheyne) pulled hard in the early stages and proved difficult to settle. b) Jockey C Bantam, the rider of AYE AYE, appeared before the Board and was strongly advised of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the finish. c) Jockey C Murray, the rider of OUR PRIZED JEWEL, reported that this filly choked up in the running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. d) MAJOR ATTRACTION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised.
