SHINY SHOES reared in the stalls, fell, dislodged the rider and got caught up. The gelding was subsequently withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon, causing a lengthy delay. This was because a Handler was injured and the paramedics attended to him, and then transported him to the Medical Officer. In view of the report from the Starter regarding SHINY SHOES, Trainer Crawford will be advised that this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable. SHINY SHOES may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Jockey Cheyne reported that EMPIRE GLORY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. WINTER ASSEMBLY stumbled shortly after the start losing position. Thereafter WINTER ASSEMBLY took an awkward stride at the 600m. GOLDEN TRACTOR was hanging in badly and was difficult to assist from the 300m to the 100m. CAPTAIN YOLO raced awkwardly on the bend with his head in the air. EMPIRE GLORY and WHAT A PRINCE were hanging in, in the straight. MR COBBS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. WINTER ASSEMBLY raced fitted without alumites and with steel shoes. Vet: EMPIRE GLORY - examined post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. MR COBBS - returned cut into on the right fore. WHAT A PRINCE - returned cut into on the left fore. Scratched: SHINY SHOES - injured, head, shoulders and limbs, in the starting stalls, was withdrawn.
