THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LETSDOIT (*P Mxoli) reared in the stalls and thereafter jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) KOZAK PRINCE (F Herholdt) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 350m, LETSDOIT (*P Mxoli), which hung out from the 500m, and JET CAT (*J R Syster) came together and brushed. b) Jockey L J Ferraris reported that NIGHT KING made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) JET CAT (*J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer H van der Westhuizen advised (AH).
