THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) APPLES AND THINGS (M Yeni), MABONENG (R Munger) and ROMPIN STOMPIN (S Brown) were slow losing one length.
b) PASSION FANTACY (M van Rensburg) was restless in the stalls.
c) CANARY WALK (*N Klink) broke through the front gate and bolted the course. The Starting Stall Certificate for this filly has been withdrawn.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to CANARY WALK, this filly has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 30 June 2021 to 6 July 2021. CANARY WALK may not be presented for repassing during this period. Trainer S J Gray advised (LAS).
b) SILVETTE (D Schwarz) hung in badly from the 500m proving difficult to assist. Thereafter Jockey Schwarz reported something amiss with SILVETTE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
c) MABONENG (R Munger) hung in from the 150m.
d) TERRA TIME (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer V Moore advised (DR).
JOCKEY CHANGES:
None.
RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER:
a) MABONENG raced with club colours (blue / black). Trainer A B Fortune was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that she did not have available the registered colours of the owner/s of the horse MABONENG. Trainer Fortune signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R250.
THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:
a) JACKIE SPARKS coughing.
b) MABONENG blood in mouth.
c) PASSION FANTACY post race distress (moderate) and speedy cut right hind.
d) SILVETTE not striding out right hind.
SCRATCHED:
a) CANARY WALK bolted the course, immediate reinstatement (NHA) Betting 9/2.
