THE STARTER REPORTED
A) AQUAHOLIC was stubborn loading, slow away and lost 3 lengths.
B) AQUAHOLIC and TWICE AS CORAGEOUS were stubborn loading.
C) MASTER MATE had its left front shoe replaced at the start.
D) COMPARE was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this colt is withdrawn.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED
A) AQUAHOLIC (K Minnie) and MASTER MATE (S Naidoo) pulled hard in the early and middle stages.
B) DA CAPO (L Hewitson) which raced green, shifted out sharply away from GRACE LIGHTNING (G Cheyne) at the 700m. Thereafter, DA CAPO (L Hewitson) shifted out away from the crop between the 350m and the 200m and proved difficult to assist.
C) COMPARE (J Mphanya) raced green.
D) In view of the Starter's report with regard to COMPARE (J Mphanya), this colt's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable. Suspension dates: 03 July 2021 to 09 July 2021 both days included. COMPARE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer G D Smith was advised
