THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start for all runners. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 300m, ZARINA (K de Melo) was carried out by ZIMBABA (C Habib), which had to shift out in order to avoid the heels of ONLY THE BRAVE (K Matsunyane) which raced to the front early and compounded in the straight. b) In the concluding stages ZIMBABA (C Habib) had to ease when awkwardly placed between CAYA COCO (S Khumalo) which had come to the end of its run and shifted out away from the crop marginally and ZARINA (K de Melo) which was hanging in from the 200m. An Inquiry will be opened into this incident. c) In view of the performance of CAPTAIN'S RANSOM (R Fourie) (3.15 lengths, betting 5/2) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) ZARINA (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson advised (ML). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) FLASHY KAITRINA raced without blinkers (advised 30.06.21/22h26). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) ZARINA : The ownership should read:- Greenacres Trust (Nom: Mr N M Shirtliff), Messrs I W Longmore & Bryn Ressell and the colours remain the same (SWE - 30.06.21). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) MOUNT LAUREL : Cut into right front. b) CAYA COCO : Returned post-race having cast the left hind shoe. c) CAPTAIN'S RANSOM : Nothing obvious detected. d) ZARINA : Coughing.
