THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) Jockey R Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with CANDY GALORE in running.
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
b) Jockey Wes Marwing reported that he felt something amiss with SWEET SENSATION in running.
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning SWEET SENSATION, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Stable Employee F Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Spies, advised.
c) Apprentice J R Syster reported that he felt something amiss with NINA AMELIA in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning NINA AMELIA, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Stable Employee C Jena, acting on behalf of Trainer P F Matchett, advised.
d) Jockey M Khan was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride the horse TRUE CHARM out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards. Jockey M Khan signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1,000-00 was imposed.
e) TRUE CHARM (M Khan), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee F Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Spies, advised (RS).
JOCKEY CHANGES:
a) TRUE CHARM was ridden by Jockey M Khan (declared 29 June 2021 at 08H09).
