THE STARTER REPORTED A) SEA ISLAND was nervous and kicked the back gate in the stalls. B) INBETWEEN DREAMS kicked the back gate in the stalls. C) ENDLESS CHARM was slow into stride. D) AZURITE was nervous in the stalls and reared as the start was effected. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) Jockey X Ndlovu felt something amiss with ZULU CITATION in the running and eased this filly out of the race at the 300m. In view of this report, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. B) Jockey S Naidoo reported that INBETWEEN DREAMS did not stride out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. C) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning ZULU CITATION (X Ndlovu), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer A C Greeff was advised. D) The winner CHAI was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer J V A Strydom advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) SEA ISLAND raced equipped with a compression mask (10:04 - 30/06/2021). THERE WERE NO RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED A) INBETWEEN DREAMS not striding out left hind. B) ENDLESS CHARM in season.
