THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LETSDOIT (D Schwarz) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey S Khumalo, the rider of SICILIAN TIGER, accidentally dropped his crop at the 150m. b) In the concluding stages, ZUZAN (S Brown) had to steady and switch out to avoid running onto the heels of LETSDOIT (D Schwarz), which rolled out. c) Jockey S Khumalo reported that SICILIAN TIGER (2,25 lengths) changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey R Munger appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding his ride on TRUE BRIT. He explained to the Board that following this gelding's short lay off, his riding instructions were to sit as long as possible, up until the 400m before asking TRUE BRIT for an effort. These riding instructions were confirmed by Stable Employee F Naude. The Board accepted the explanations tendered and took no further action. e) EXCELLARATOR (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Bronkhorst advised (LN). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) LETSDOIT was ridden by Jockey D Schwarz (declared 8 July 2021 at 09H13). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) ICE AND FIRE blood in the mouth. b) LETSDOIT abnormal respiratory noise. c) MOYO'S REBEL lame left fore.
