THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LYDIA'S PROSPER (N Qaule) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice P Mxoli was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.11 in that he illtreated the horse BURMESE TIARA by kicking it in the stomach when this filly dislodged him en route to the start. Apprentice P Mxoli signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R 5,000.00 was imposed. b) Apprentice P Mxoli reported that BURMESE TIARA made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey N Qaule reported that LYDIA'S PROSPER did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey L Hewitson reported that he felt something amiss with WHAT A MIRACLE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) PRINCESS QUEEN (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey S Khumalo advised (GF).
