THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) IN THE SUMMERTIME (*K Brewer) was restless in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn.
b) GIMMIE A STAR (K de Melo) and HIPPOCRATES (S Veale) lost 1 length, respectively.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) Shortly after the start, Jockey W Agrella (MR BAYVIEW) lost his right side stirrup iron and thereafter removed his left foot from his left stirrup iron. As a consequence of this incident, Jockey W Agrella was unable to assist MR BAYVIEW for the remainder of this Race.
b) TABEBUIA (W Kennedy) and RARE VINTAGE (J Samuel) over-raced in the early stages.
c) GIMMIE A STAR (K de Melo) was slow into stride and raced greenly in the running.
d) In the concluding stages, BEND THE RULES (*S Njokwe) was carried out by SIEGE RAM (C Storey) which shifted out away from the crop.
e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to IN THE SUMMERTIME (*K Brewer), this colt's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 12.07.21 to the 18.07.21. IN THE SUMMERTIME may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer Gareth van Zyl will be advised. (SN)
f) Jockey D Dillon signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he misused his crop by striking the horse ARUMUGAM more than 12 times in the entire race. In assessing penalty, the Board considered the number of times (16) Jockey D Dillon struck the horse ARUMUGAM, the distance over which and manner in which he used his crop and his record (2) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of R1000 was imposed.
g) INCREDIBILL (*J Jacobs), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer V H Marshall advised (SC).

a) RARE VINTAGE was ridden by Jockey J Samuel (advised 08.07.21/09h30).
b) BEND THE RULES was ridden by Apprentice S Njokwe (claiming 4kg) (advised 11.07.21/08h09).
c) FULL GO raced with alumites (advised 11.07.21/07h46).

THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED :
a) ROY'S ICEBERG : Returned post-race having cast the right hind shoe.
