THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAJESTIC POWER (*T Gumede) was stubborn to load and lost 2 lengths. b) KWELA (*K Brewer) and CALLMEMRGREENLIGHT (S Veale) were stubborn to load. c) COLOUR MASTER (B Jacobson) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MAJESTIC POWER (*T Gumede) raced detached from the field in the early and middle stages. Thereafter, this colt finished its race off strongly. b) Between the 450m and 350m, CALLMEMRGREENLIGHT (S Veale) appeared hesitant to improve into a narrow run. Thereafter, this gelding once obtaining a clear run at the 300m, finished its race off strongly. c) ROMANEE CONTI (K de Melo) was hanging out from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey K de Melo reported this colt did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) RODRIGUEZ (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Gareth van Zyl advised (SC).
