THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) BIG SKY COUNTRY (*T Gumede) was hanging in from the 800m. b) CAMORA (*K Brewer) shifted in sharply at the 300m. c) Jockey W Kennedy reported that FLY THE COUP made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested. d) CAPTAIN FONTANE (A Arries), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G B Puller advised (SC). e) HOOVES OF TROY (*J Jacobs), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead advised (DA).
