THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) During the loading process, WESTERN VIEW (R Munger) was restless in the stalls, broke through the front gates, dislodged Jockey Munger and bolted the course. This filly was subsequently scratched by the Course Veterinary Surgeon.
The Starting Stall Certificate for WESTERN VIEW has been withdrawn.
b) FRENCH REBEL (*P Mxoli) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) The flag man on duty appeared before the Board regarding WESTERN VIEW bolting and breaking through the inside running rail at the 800m. This matter has been dealt with internally with the National Horseracing Authority.
b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to WESTERN VIEW, this filly has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 16 July 2021 to 22 July 2021. WESTERN VIEW may not be presented for repassing during this period. Stable Employee F Naude advised (GT).
c) MASTER ARCHIE (G Lerena) hung in from the 300m.
d) DYCE (C Zackey) shifted in away from the crop from the 300m and thereafter in the concluding stages, shifted out away from the crop.
e) MASTER ARCHIE (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter advised (LN).
