THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) During the loading process, WINGS OF NIKE (G Lerena) broke through the front gates. This filly was restrained by the Handler, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn (GT).
b) HONOUR MY WORD (B Nyawo), BELLA FIORENZA (C Habib) and PATH FAIRY (S Brown) were slow losing three lengths. Stable Employee R van Wyk, acting on behalf of Trainer D Cason, was advised to reschool these fillies prior to their next engagement (GT).
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) After being slow away, PATH FAIRY (S Brown) failed to muster any speed on debut and raced detached from the field throughout.
b) BELLA FIORENZA (C Habib) and HONOUR MY WORD (B Nyawo) raced green throughout.
c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to WINGS OF NIKE, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 21 July 2021 to the 27 July 2021. WINGS OF NIKE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen advised.

d) ALABAMA ANNA (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (LN).
