The start of this Race was delayed due to the Veterinary Surgeon having to examine and scratch LAUREN OF ROCHELLE and DALE HOUSE at the start. BESTDAY OF MYLIFE, PUTCHINI and KING OF SAMASH were slow into stride. ROY'S TAXI was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SOVEREIGN SOLDIER was hanging in, shifted in near the 200m despite the rider's efforts, resulting in LILIBET being eased and shifted inwards. MAA NONU compounded and was not persevered with in the closing stages. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. In view of the performance of KING OF SAMASH, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. MAA NONU raced with steel shoes. Vet: MAA NONU - not striding out right hind. KING OF SAMASH and PUTCHINI - coughing. Scratched: VIKING RED - elevated temperature. LAUREN OF ROCHELLE - not striding out left hind and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. DALE HOUSE - not striding out left hind and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
