THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) LUNAR PROSPECTOR (A Mgudlwa) was fractious in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. Trainer M Dixon was advised to re-school this gelding.
b) FISTS OF FIRE (D Dillon) was difficult to load. Trainer P Muscutt was advised to re-school this gelding.
c) WILDE WORLD (C Storey) was restless in the stalls.
d) YOHO MIST (S Veale) was restless in the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) Leaving the 400m, WHISPERS OF WAR (W Kennedy) took an awkward stride.
b) DON'T TOUCH ME (*T Gumede) was hanging in from the 400m.
c) Shortly before the finish, WHISPERS OF WAR (W Kennedy) and SUCCESSFUL RULER (K de Melo) came together and bumped. As a consequence of this incident, both riders were unable to assist their respective mounts to the finish.
A member of the Stipendiary Board called a race review into the above incident. However, after reviewing the patrol films from the various angles and taking into consideration, in particular, the dual movements of the horses in question and the proximity of the incident to the finish, no further action was taken.
d) Jockey E Ngwane reported that FOREIGN OFFICE made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e) EL DANTE (M V'Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M J Odendaal advised (SC).

a) CAPE THUNDER was ridden by Jockey J Samuel (advised 19.07.21/10h19).
b) FOREST PHOENIX was ridden by Jockey S Moodley (advised 15.07.21/17h03).
c) KWELA was ridden by Apprentice J Jacobs (claiming 1.5kg) (advised 20.07.21/12h03).
RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER :
a) EL DANTE is a gelding. Gelded 21.04.21 (advised 20.07.21).
THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED :
a) FOREIGN OFFICE : Not striding out right hind.
