THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BEYOND THE RUNWAY (G Lerena) stumbled leaving the stalls. b) TARTAN DANCER (D De Gouveia) was slow into stride. c) READYSETGLO (L Hewitson) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BEYOND THE RUNWAY (G Lerena) over-raced in the early stages and raced green around the turn. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Assistant Trainer A Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer P A Peter, was requested to report back on the condition of this filly on return to stables. b) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with ANCESTRAL PRAYER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) LET THERE BE LIGHT (*P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer P A Peter, advised (DR). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) TARTAN DANCER was ridden by Jockey D De Gouveia (declared 22 July 2021 at 16H09). Jockey D De Gouveia weighed out at 55kg, 1kg over the carded weight.
