The start of this Race was delayed due to a false start being called. ADIOS GRINGO was stubborn loading. PARA HANDY was slow away and lost 1 length. As the start of this race was effected, stall gate number 1 opened significantly earlier than the other gates. This resulted in a false start being called. As a consequence of the above false start, TUNDRA who was restless in the stalls and dislodged Jockey Yeni shortly after the false start was called, galloped the course and was subsequently scratched by the Course Veterinary Surgeon as having bolted. After travelling various distances, the remaining runners were restrained by the respective Riders, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. At the 900m, MASTER DESIGN took a number of awkward strides when awkwardly placed on the heels of ELUSIVE KAT. In view of the performance of PARA HANDY, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. COYOTE CREEK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: PARA HANDY - nothing obvious detected. ELUSIVE KAT - cast left hind shoe. FOR LUCK SAKE - coughed post-race and spread shoe left hind. MASTER DESIGN - abnormal respiratory noise. ADIOS GRINGO - not striding out right fore. Scratching: TUNDRA - bolted and was withdrawn.
