THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PATON'S TEARS (G Lerena) stood losing many lengths. The Starting Stall Certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. b) SWEPT OFF MY FEET (N Klink) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, SPICE MARKET (K Matsunyane) had to steady momentarily off the heels of GOLDEN SPOON (M Yeni) which jumped outwards. b) ROUGE ALLURE (R Munger) hung in from the 500m. c) ANNE BOLEYN (C Maujean) was carried out marginally from the 200m to the 100m by GOLDEN SPOON (M Yeni) which hung out from the 300m. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to PATON'S TEARS (G Lerena), this filly has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 25 July 2021 to 31 July 2021. PATON'S TEARS may not be presented for repassing during this period. Assistant Trainer V Tshobera advised (GT). e) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with SPICE MARKET in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) GOLDEN SPOON (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana advised (LN). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) ROUGE ALLURE was ridden by Jockey R Munger (declared 24 July 2021 at 08H25). b) SACRED LOTUS was ridden by Apprentice J R Syster who claimed 1,5kg allowance. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) SPICE MARKET raced with a compression mask on (declared 20 July 2021 at 13H05). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) SPICE MARKET examined post race, nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
