THE STARTER REPORTED
A) FLASH GALA, QUEEN LOUISE, DEMARI and BRAVESTARR were slow into stride.
B) SOVEREIGN SUPREME was unruly at the start and stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this colt is withdrawn.
C) STEPITUPBABY was stubborn loading.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED
A) MARSH MARIGOLD (K Minnie) over-raced in the early stages.
B) SOVEREIGN SUPREME (G Cheyne) pulled hard in the early stages, compounded in straight and Jockey G Cheyne did not persevere with his ride from the 500m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine,
C) At approximately the 600m, CYCLOPS JACK (*K Strydom) which rolled in stumbled badly when clipping the heels of WIND SOCK (R Fourie) which rolled out. Thereafter, Apprentice K Strydom did not persevere with his ride from the 400m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
D) QUEEN LOUISE (F Herholdt) was hanging in from the 300m.
E) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that DEMARI changed stride continually in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
F) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SOVERIEGN SUPREME (G Cheyne), this colt's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading into the stalls. Suspension dates: 31 July 2021 to 06 August 2021 both days included. SOVERIEGN SUPREME may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer A C Greeff was advised.
G) The winner CLETO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer S B Kotzen advised (LM).
