THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FAUSTINO (C Habib) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ISIVUNGUVUNGU (D Dillon) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) FAUSTINO (C Habib) was hanging out from the 400m. c) At the 300m, CRESTED EAGLE (K de Melo) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the inside of GALLIC CHIEF (W Kennedy) which rolled in and faded in the straight. In view of this report, Trainer Gareth van Zyl will be requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of GALLIC CHIEF on return to stables. d) At the 300m, IT'S ABOUT TIME (R Fourie) was switched out to continue its run. e) At the 200m, BON VIVANT (G Lerena) which raced awkwardly in the straight, took an awkward stride. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) DYCE (C Zackey) was hanging in, in the concluding stages, proving difficult to assist. g) DYCE (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (DA). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) DYCE raced with a compression mask. b) ISIVUNGUVUNGU raced with ear muffs (advised 29.07.21/7h41). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) BON VIVANT : Lame left front and left hind and blowing.
