THE STARTER REPORTED
A) TSAR PETER was stubborn loading, slow away and lost 1 length.
B) PUSH OFF (IRE) refused to jump.
C) TOUREIRO jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED
A) The Board reviewed the start with regard to PUSH OFF (IRE) (T Gould) in stall gate (7). It was established that this gelding refused to jump when the start was effected.
In view of the Starter's report with regard to PUSH OFF (IRE) (T Gould) and taking into consideration this gelding's history, the starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 30 days and until such time as he proves tractable to jump on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 07 August 2021 to 05 September 2021 both days included. PUSH OFF (IRE) may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer T J Laing was advised.
B) FUTURA'S HOPE (W Kennedy) which over-raced in the early and middle stages, tired quickly from the 400m. In view of this report, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
C) At approximately the 250m, Jockey E Webber (TSAR PETER) had his crop accidentally struck from his hand by Apprentice Y Ramzan (AGRADEMARMALADE).
D) Trainer S B Kotzen appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding the improved performance of MOUSEY ON OVER (R Munger) as compared his race on 11th June. She explained to the Board that this was his first race as a gelding and this in her opinion had accounted for the improvement in his performance today. This explanation was noted.
E) The winner MOUSEY ON OVER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer S B Kotzen advised (LM).

B) MESMERIZING MOON raced equipped with blinkers (12:17 - 05/08/2021).
