THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JUST FABULOUS (S Khumalo) was stubborn loading and thereafter was slow into stride. b) SISTER LIGHT (L Hewitson) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SERENA SLAM (C Maujean) raced wide around the turn and into the straight, thereafter compounded from the 400m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) JUST FABULOUS (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A G Laird advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) SERENA SLAM examined post race, nothing obvious detected. b) PRINCESS PHILIPPA brush wound left hind. c) SISTER LIGHT mouth injury - injured in the stalls.
