THE STARTER REPORTED A) LORD ADMIRAL was stubborn loading and unruly. Trainer S B Kotzen will be advised to re-school this gelding prior to its next engagement. B) GLOBAL TIGER was stubborn loading and slow into stride. C) COMPARE was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) COMPARE (S Naidoo) was reluctant to canter to the start and had to be led by a handler. Trainer G D Smith will be advised that should this gelding behave similarly in future it may be suspended. B) LORD ADMIRAL (M Mjoka) was reluctant to canter to the start and had to be led by a handler. Trainer S B Kotzen will be advised that should this gelding behave similarly in future it may be suspended. C) GLOBAL TIGER (J Mphanya) over-raced in the early stages. D) Jockey S Naidoo signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking the horse COMPARE more than 12 times in the entire race. A penalty of a R750 fine was imposed.
