THE STARTER REPORTED A) CRYSTAL SKY was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls. B) HOST OF ANGELS broke through the front gate and bolted. C) CURLY TOP broke through the front gate and was re-loaded. D) STEPITUPBABY was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) During the loading process HOST OF ANGELS (C Maujean) became restless and broke through the front gate, dislodged Jockey C Maujean, bolted and was subsequently scratched on the advice of the Course Veterinary Surgeon. During this incident CURLY TOP (R Munger) broke through its front gates of the stalls, was restrained by its rider, returned to the start and was subsequently passed fit to race by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. B) LADONNA MIA (G van Niekerk) was hanging in, in the straight. C) At approximately the 50m, DIAMONDS AND TOADS (W Kennedy) was brushed out by ORANGE BOWL (C Zackey) which closed the race off strongly and shifted out marginally. D) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that SARDINIA did not stride out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. E) The winner ORANGE BOWL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Stable Employee Z Xamle acting on behalf of Trainer J S Snaith advised (LM).
