THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GUY FOX (A Arries) was stubborn to load. b) MANDALA EFFECT (W Kennedy) reared in the stalls. c) MASTER OF ARMS (K Sakayi) and CASERO (J Gates) lost 1 length, respectively. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MASTER OF ARMS (K Sakayi) had to be restrained when racing onto heels at the 800m. b) FOREST PHOENIX (*D Geerthsen) was hanging out from the 400m, proving difficult to assist. c) In the concluding stages, FREEDOM DANCER (S Khumalo) was carried out marginally on two occasions by MAMMA'S BOY (*J Jacobs) which rolled out. d) In view of the performance of ALLAROUNDTHEWORLD (A Marcus) (4.05 lengths, 2/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Apprentice G Pieterse (FOREST PHOENIX) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. f) MAMMA'S BOY (*J Jacobs), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Fripp acting on behalf of Trainer A J Rivalland advised (SC). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) FOREST PHOENIX raced equipped with blinkers (advised 27.08.21/7h13). b) FREEDOM DANCER raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 24.08.21/13h09) and without blinkers (advised 25.08.21/15h10). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) ALLAROUNDTHEWORLD : Cut into left hind. b) MANDALA EFFECT : Coughing. c) ALMA MATER : Returned post-race having cast the left front shoe. d) RAMPAGE : Returned post-race having cast the right front shoe.
