THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SEVEN PATRIOTS (C Zackey) proved difficult to load. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer M Azzie was advised (GT). b) RIVERSTOWN (G Lerena) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. c) CAPTAIN AND MASTER (*J R Syster) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 200m, APPROACH CONTROL (W Kennedy) and SNOW PALACE (M Yeni) were bumped in by RIVERSTOWN (G Lerena), which commenced to hang in and was straightened. b) SEVEN PATRIOTS (C Zackey) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. c) In view of the performance of RIVERSTOWN (G Lerena), (distance 5,15 lengths, betting 14/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SEVEN PATRIOTS, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 29 August 2021 to 4 September 2021. SEVEN PATRIOTS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M Azzie was advised. e) CORNISH POMODORO (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Nako, acting on behalf of Trainer S G Tarry, advised (GF). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) TREND MASTER: Jockey D Schwarz weighed out at 53,7kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) CAPTAIN AND MASTER raced without blinkers (declared 28 August 2021 at 08H34). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) RIVERSTOWN examined post race, nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
