THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) FORWARD SPELL (W Kennedy) raced detached from the field in the early and middle stages. Thereafter, this colt finished its race off strongly in the straight. b) Trainer Gareth van Zyl (A TIME TO REMEMBER) will be advised that his runner failed to adequately parade and that should this horse behave similarly in future, it may be suspended. c) Apprentice D Geerthsen (A TIME TO REMEMBER) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning GO SANDALS, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer S Humby will be advised. (Suspension Dates : 30.08.21 - 28.10.21, bdi) e) PATH TO FORTUNE (A Marcus), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
