THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) In the concluding stages, ROYAL KITTY (*K Strydom) which was hanging out and ICE IMPERIAL (S Veale) which rolled in, came together and bumped. A member of the Stipendiary Board called a race review into this incident. However, after reviewing the patrol films of this race and taking into consideration, in particular, the dual movements of the horses involved and the distance between these runners at the finish, no further action was taken. b) In the concluding stages, TANGO TIME (S Moodley) was awkwardly placed on heels and had to ease when unable to secure a clear run. As a consequence of this incident, Jockey S Moodley was unable to assist TANGO TIME to the end of the race. c) BIRDWATCHER (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
