THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPTAIN ARVERNI (N Klink) was stubborn loading. b) ANOTHER LEVEL (M Yeni) was stubborn loading. Trainer C Dawson was advised to re-school this colt prior to its next engagement (LAS). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) From the 150m to the 50m, LION OF THE DESERT (C Maujean) which hung in from the 300m, was carried out by ZANETTO (W Kennedy) which shifted out away from the crop. An Objection was lodged by the Trainer (S G Tarry) on behalf of the 2nd placed horse LION OF THE DESERT (C Maujean) against the winner ZANETTO (W Kennedy) on the grounds of interference and being carried off a straight course. The Objection Board, after giving regard to the evidence presented by the relevant parties, was of the opinion that this incident had not affected the result of the race and therefore overruled the Objection and allowed the Judges result to stand. Trainer S G Tarry's deposit was refunded. b) ZANETTO (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer P A Peter advised (DR). c) LION OF THE DESERT (C Maujean), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey C Maujean advised (DR). d) Trainer S G Tarry will be requested to report back to the Board on the condition of PRIVILEGE on return to stables. JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) LION OF THE DESERT raced with earmuffs and a compression mask on (declared 2 September 2021 at 08H57). b) IL PRADINO raced with a compression mask on (declared 2 September 2021 at 07H37). THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
