THE STARTER REPORTED A) LUMIERE was slow into stride. B) LIVINGSTONE was slow away. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) RAZOR RED (R Khathi) was reluctant to canter to the start and had to be led by a handler. Stable Employee G Venter acting on behalf of Trainer T J Laing was advised that should this colt behave similarly in future it may be suspended. B) ENGLISH PRINCESS (R Munger) was hanging in from the 400m. C) Jockey R Fourie reported that LUMIERE did not stride out freely in the running and he did not persevere with his ride from the 200m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. D) In view of the performance of PARIS OPERA (A Domeyer) (distance 4.80 - betting 5/2) the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. D) The winner GUAQUISTADOR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer J V Rugg advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) RAZOR RED Jockey R Khathi replaced Jockey C Maujean (08:46 - 03/09/2021). B) GUAQUISTADOR Jockey C Zackey replaced Jockey M Mjoka (09:00 - 03/09/2021).
