THE STARTER REPORTED
A) REGAL GRADUATION was slow into stride.
B) PRINCESS OF FIRE was slow away and lost 3 lengths.
C) HERRIN and PRETTY BALLERINA were slow away and lost 1 length respectively.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED
A) SOLLER (E Webber) was hanging in from the 600m and thereafter in view of the performance of SOLLER (distance 11.50 - betting 50/9) the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
B) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with TALLAHASSEE in the running and did not persevere with his ride from the 300m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
C) Jockey T M Musekiwa reported that REGAL GRADUATION took no interest in running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
D) Jockey R Munger reported that he felt something amiss with JUST JUDY in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
E) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that GALLIC GIRL changed stride continually in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
F) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning TALAHASEE (C Zackey), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer J V Rugg on behalf of Trainer W G C Miller was advised.
G) The winner IRISH WILLOW was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer J P Nel advised (LM).
