THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start NAME OF THE GAME (K de Melo) had to ease when tightened for galloping room between FAMILY FOOTSTEPS (F Herholdt) which shifted out slightly and FLEETING (L Mxothwa) which was carried in slightly by CHELSEA RIVER (A Domeyer). b) Jockey A Marcus, the rider of WILDEST DREAMS, reported this filly did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey A Domeyer, the rider of CHELSEA RIVER, reported he felt something amiss with this filly and he did not persevere with his riding from the 250m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of CALL IT FATE (C Zackey) (Betting 33/10 ; Distance 10.30), Trainer SJ Snaith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. e) LIDL MISS SUNSHINE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
