THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BUY BACK (G Wright) was stubborn to load. b) SHELL SEEKER (K de Melo) and ALWAYS ON TIME (*R Venniker) lost 1 length, respectively. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SHELL SEEKER (K de Melo) was hanging out between the 400m and 250m. b) LEOPARD LADY (N Patel) was hanging in between the 400m and 250m. c) In view of the performance of DRIVE BY (W Kennedy) (9.50 lengths, 72/100 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer Gareth van Zyl will be requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables. d) After the All Clear was given, the Stipendiary Board was advised that there was a technical issue with regard to the timeous closure of the tote betting on this race. Subsequently, the Stipendiary Board was further advised that all tote bets on this race were refunded. An investigation will be opened into this incident. e) SHELL SEEKER (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Dixon advised (SC).
