BLING A DING DING spun around when Jockey Khumalo attempted to mount this filly on the race track resulting in Jockey Khumalo falling and this filly cantering to the 600m where she was taken in hand. BLING A DING DING was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start and was declared fit to race. The start was delayed as a result of Jockey Khumalo having to be treated on course and taken to the Medical Centre. A replacement rider was weighed out and sent to the start. BLING A DING DING was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. TO THE MAX raced green. Jockey Godden replaced Jockey Khumalo on BLING A DING DING. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey Khumalo was examined by the Medical Officer:- concussion and whiplash. Referred to hospital for further investigation. Unable to continue riding.
