THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 400m, SOCRATES (D Dillon) which attempted to improve through a narrow run, clipped the heels of COLDHARDCASH (*D Geerthsen) which rolled out marginally. In assessing this incident, the Board took into consideration the positioning of SOCRATES (D Dillon) on heels prior to the incident, the tight nature of the run this gelding was attempting to secure and the minimal extent of the movement of COLDHARDCASH (*D Geerthsen), and therefore deemed this to be a racing incident. b) Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss with PRAY FOR RAIN in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) TEMPTING FATE (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D R Drier advised (ML). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) COLDHARDCASH raced equipped with blinkers and with a cornell collar (advised 05.09.21/7h50). b) PRAY FOR RAIN raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 27.09.21/10h03).
