THE STARTER REPORTED A) SAILAWAY WITH ME was slow away. B) ABSOLUTELY FAB was nervous and kicked the back gate in the stalls. C) SIEVER'S POINT was restless in the stalls. D) HOST OF ANGELS was slow into stride. E) ROMANOFF was stubborn loading, unruly at the start, was slow away and lost 1 length. F) JET BOMBER was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) An inquiry will be opened to establish why GUISTINA (C Zackey) clipped heels at approximately the 1100m. B) Approaching the 100m, the crops of Jockeys W Kennedy (DIAMONDS AND TOADS) and R Fourie (BUTTERCUP) briefly became entangled. C) Jockey R Fourie reported that BUTTERCUP did not stride out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. D) Jockey S Khathi reported that JET BOMBER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. E) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with GIUSTINA in the running and eased this filly out of the race at approximately the 1100m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. F) After the running of this race Jockey C Zackey was stood down by the Course Medical Officer, hip injury (Rule 25.12 applies). G) The winner DIAMONDS AND TOADS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer G D Smith advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) JET BOMBER Jockey S Khathi replaced Jockey K Minnie (11:16 - 06/09/2021). B) DIAMONDS AND TOADS raced equipped with a compression mask (07:50 - 07/09/2021). THERE WERE NO RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED A) HOST OF ANGELS scalp wound right fore. B) BUTTERCUP nothing obvious detected.
