THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRINCE VIHAAN (M Yeni) lost 1 length. b) CORAL COPY (D Dillon) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) PRINCE VIHAAN (M Yeni), YOUNG NELSON (S Moodley), NATIONAL FLAG (*T Gumede) and GREY LINNGARI (W Kennedy) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) In the concluding stages, PRINCE VIHAAN (M Yeni) was struck on the nose by Jockey S Moodley's (YOUNG NELSON) crop when both these horses raced in tight quarters. c) Jockey D Dillon reported that CORAL COPY took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey A Marcus (A THOUSAND TUNES) appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race and was advised to ride his mounts out to the end of the race as to leave no room for query from the Stewards. e) LORD MINVER (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Hewitson advised (ML). f) YOUNG NELSON (S Moodley), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
