THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LUNA LIGHT (M Winnaar) was restless in the stalls, jumped slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. b) ZIPPY OVER (L Mxothwa) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. c) MARGIN CALL (K de Melo) was kicked at the start, checked by the course veterinary surgeon, found to be lame on the right hind and was withdrawn. (Betting 18/1) THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After being slow away LUNA LIGHT (M Winnaar) hung out badly and proved difficult to assist. As a consequence, the filly raced detached from the field in the early stages. b) Approaching the 1100m PEUT ETRE MOI (R Fourie) was eased off the heels of MICROBURST (D Ashby), which raced green on the bend and rolled out slightly. c) JET FOR TIME, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
