THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SERVICE ACE (F Herholdt) kicked in the stalls and got its back leg caught between the back gates, was taken out, examined by the course veterinary surgeon and withdrawn. b) I WANT IT ALL (L Mxothwa) was restless in the stalls, jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SILENT WAR (G Cheyne), which raced green, shifted both ways away from the crop and had to be straightened at the 200m and again at the 50m. b) I WANT IT ALL (L Mxothwa) raced green. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SERVICE ACE (F Herholdt), Trainer PAW Botha will be advised to have this colt re schooled before his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. d) Jockey A Andrews, the rider of MONITE BAY, reported this colt changed stride continuously in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. e) DOUBLE SUPERLATIVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
