THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SHANGANI (W Kennedy) was slow into stride. b) IRON WILL (L Hewitson) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) OYSTER KING (S Khumalo) jumped awkwardly losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 300m, IVALO'S PRINCE (M Yeni) was carried in marginally by SHANGANI (W Kennedy) which hung in from the 400m. b) CALL ME MASTER (R Munger) hung in in the concluding stages. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that BOLD RESOLVE took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In view of the performance of OYSTER KING (S Khumalo), (betting 25/2, distance 9,80 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) BACK TO BLACK (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
